Our baby GIRL comes out to play!

When I came to school on Tuesday morning, I saw that the chrysalis has turned transparent and I could see the butterfly's wings!  It was so neat!  I sat it by my desk in hopes to catch it coming out so I could get it on video for the kids.

When I came back from being gone 10 minutes in a meeting, our butterfly had decided to join the world! She was beautiful!  The kids were coming in at this time and were able to see her hanging from her chrysalis, letting her wings dry out.  

We took a poll and voted who thought it was going to be a girl and who thought it was going to be a boy.  We ended up with 10 guesses for girl and 10 guesses for boy!

With the help of Mrs. Wendy Glass (Nathan's mom), I was able to run back and get my camera to film the release of our butterfly, "Jenny".  (They decided to name her after me...How sweet!)  Here is the release of our butterfly, "Jenny".
