Fall Party!

Thursday afternoon was our fall party.  Thank you to our WONDERFUL parents for putting together such a fun afternoon!  Here are a few pics from our party.

NES Walk-a-thon 2010 & Sliming the Principal!

Students at NES raised over $4,000 for our school during the fundraiser!!! WOW!!  We kicked-off our Thursday with the Walk-a-thon.  Parents, students, and teachers walked a path around downtown Newburgh to show support for our school.  What a beautiful morning!

After the Walk-a-thon, we headed back to school to see Mr. Krodel get SLIMED!!!!! The student to collect the most money for the fundraiser was about to poor this green goop all over Mr. Krodel's head!!!  It was so funny!

Some of the girls dancing to the music of DJ Grover Towler while we were waiting on the SLIME to be ready!  I couldn't get anyone else to dance....guess the walk wore them out!

Newburgh Fire Station for Fire Safety Week!

On Friday, we visited the Newburgh Fire Station where we learned about fire safety.  We learned how to prevent fires, get away from fires, and all about how to stay safe around fires.  We also were able to see the fire trucks AND take a tour through them!! So cool!  Here are some pictures of our Fire adventures!  (Thanks to all the parents that were able to join!)

Getting dressed in all their gear.

Still loading things on!

Edible Caterpillar!

Mrs. Wendy Glass (Nathan's mom) found the cutest little edible caterpillar to make for the class.  It was made from chocolate chip cookies, green icing, pretzels, and m&m's!  YUM!!!!!!!

New MALE Butterfly and Addition Games

I promise they're doing math! haha

GRRRRR.......

We took a tally vote of whether they thought our new butterfly was a girl or a boy.

You can look closely at the bottom and see 2 black dots on the orange part of the wings.    It's a boy!
